    This course is designed for non-native speakers of English who have acquired a limited proficiency in English or who are false beginners. The course will help students develop basic English language skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing with primary emphasis on gaining fluency in conversational English. Substantial outside preparation and lab work are required. This course is only offered when special intensive language programs are offered at TC3 or at our partner institutions abroad.     This course is a continuation of ESOL 090A. It is designed for non-native speakers of English who have acquired some proficiency in conversational English. The course helps students develop their English language skills so that they are able to get along in typical situations encountered when living in an English-speaking world. Substantial outside preparation and lab work are required. This course is only offered when special intensive English language programs are offered at TC3 or at our partner institutions abroad. Prerequisite: Completion of ESOL 090A with a C or better grade. 4 Equiv. Cr. (4 Lec.) Occasionally.

    This course is designed for non-native speakers of English who have some proficiency in conversational English. Students in this course gain proficiency in conversational listening, speaking, reading and writing, with particular emphasis on speaking fluently and correctly. In addition, students are introduced to limited and adapted academic English. Substantial outside preparation and lab work are required. This course is only offered when special intensive English language programs are offered at TC3 or at our partner institutions abroad. Prerequisite: Appropriate assessment test score or completion of ESOL 090B with a C or better grade. 4 Equiv. Cr. (4 Lec.) Occasionally.

    This is a continuation of ESOL 095A that is designed for non-native speakers of English who have some proficiency in conversational English. Students continue to gain proficiency in conversational listening, speaking, reading and writing, with particular emphasis on speaking fluently and correctly. In addition, students are introduced to limited and adapted academic English. Substantial outside preparation and lab work are required. Students will need to pass a speaking test at the end of this course in order to continue in the ESOL program at TC3. This course is only offered when special intensive English language programs are offered at TC3 or at our partner institutions abroad. Prerequisite: Completion of ESOL 095A with a C or better grade. 4 Equiv. Cr. (4 Lec.) Occasionally.

    This course is designed for non-native speakers of English who have good conversational English skills and wish to begin developing academic English language skills. Students work on improving listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills using college level materials. They begin to develop the language skills needed to undertake an academic program at an American college or university. Particular emphasis is placed on being able to write with good control of basic grammar. Substantial outside preparation and lab work are required. Prerequisite: Appropriate assessment test score including a speaking test or completion of ESOL 095B with a C or better grade. 4 Cr. (4 Lec.) Fall and spring semesters.

    This is a continuation of ESOL 101A that is designed for non-native speakers of English who have good conversational English skills and wish to begin developing academic English language skills. Substantial outside preparation and lab work are required. Prerequisite: Appropriate assessment test score or completion of ESOL 101B with a C or better grade. 4 Cr. (4 Lec.) Fall and spring semesters.

    A continuation of ESOL 103A designed for non-native speakers of English who have excellent conversational skills in English, but who need to improve their academic English before entering a full program of study at a college or university. Students in the course will develop their skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills using college level materials. Particular emphasis is placed on being able to complete academic writing assignments. Substantial outside preparation and lab work are required. Students will need to pass a writing test at the end of this course in order to continue in the ESOL program at TC3. Prerequisite: Completion of ESOL 103A with a C or better grade. 4 Cr. (4 Lec.) Fall and spring semesters.
