Designed for non-native speakers of English who have excellent conversational skills in English, but who need to improve their academic English skills before entering a full program of study at a college or university. Students develop their skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills using college level materials. Particular emphasis is placed on being able to complete academic writing assignments. Substantial outside preparation and lab work are required. Prerequisite: Appropriate assessment test score or completion of ESOL 101B with a C or better grade. 4 Cr. (4 Lec.) Fall and spring semesters.
