Final report or paper. Prerequisite: an average grade of B or higher in a program, approved by the chairperson, of advanced Speech Communication Arts and Sciences Department courses and permission of the instructor and the chairperson. Prerequisite for students in the speech pathology/audiologyspeech and hearing science area: Speech 31 or 38.3.

3 hours; 3 credits Examination of persuasive strategies that use the major mass media. Advertising and the relationship of market, copy, and media variables. Analytical and practical exercises implement theory. This course is the same as Business 50.7. Prerequisite: Television and Radio 6.5 or Business 50.2 or permission of the chairperson.
