9 hours independent work§ and conferences; 3 credits Directed research of a topic approved by the instructor, under the supervision of the instructor. Substantial final project; oral presentation, performance, research paper, or a combination of these forms. May be repeated for credit, but students may not offer more than six credits toward a baccalaureate degree from Speech 70, 71, 72, and 73. Prerequisite: five or more credits in Department of Speech Communication Arts and Sciences courses and permission of the chairperson.
