Minimum of 9 hours independent work§ and conference or class meetings; 3 credits Research or fieldwork in one of the areas of speech supervised by a faculty member. Periodic conferences. Final report or paper. Prerequisite: an average grade of B or higher in a program, approved by the chairperson, of advanced Speech Communication Arts and Sciences Department courses and permission of the instructor and the chairperson. Prerequisite for students in the speech pathology/audiologyspeech and hearing science area: Speech 31 or 38.3.
