    Learn the basics of music and good piano playing. Students learn to read 5-finger melodic patterns, improvise favorite tunes and play chords for singing. Have fun with others and learn music theory and ear training. Classes will meet twice per week for 1 hours for six weeks. Format will alternate with you learning the basics in one session and participating in a supervised Jam session the next session where you will be able to practice the techniques covered in the previous sessions and learn to improvise with others.     The Hammered Dulcimer for New Players I course will focus on a general orientation to this fascinating instrument, and the basic techniques in caring for the instrument, including tuning, hammering, and playing by patterns. No previous musical experience is necessary. Students may provide their own instrument, or special arrangements can be made with the instructor to purchase a student package at a reduced cost. Materials will be provided. While attendance in the Hammered Dulcimer for New Players I is helpful, it is not required. Students may provide their own instrument, or special arrangements can be made with the instructor to purchase a student package at a reduced price. Instrument arrangements must be made in advance. This course will focus on getting the student started in introductory tuning, strumming techniques and reading tablature. No previous musical experience is necessary. Learn tunes that are commonly played at jam sessions and tips on how to play with other instruments in a group setting. Some loaner dulcimers are available.     This course is designed to teach basic dog obedience which includes lessons of walking on a leash, sitting, staying, coming, healing, and sitting down. It emphasizes the importance of the dog being the pack leader and the owner enjoying the companionship of the dog. Owners also learn to understand why dogs do what they do. All dogs must be current on all shots and show proof of a shot record. Equipment and Course Requirements: Dogs should not be fed before start of class, dogs must show current shot records, dogs must have choke chain, dogs must have 6 ft. leash, dogs must have water bowls with water, and dogs must not be in heat. Topics include: hardware components; system board components; upgrades; networking maintenance and troubleshooting. Most topics will include hands on exercises.
