This course is designed for beginner through intermediate level players. After attending the New Players I class, the student, with practice, will be able to continue following other dulcimer classes throughout the year. Students will continue to build on techniques in tuning, strumming, and reading tablature. While attendance in the Mountain Dulcimer for New Players I class is helpful, it is not required. Learn tunes that are commonly played at jam sessions and tips on how to play with other instruments in a group setting. Some loaner dulcimers are available.
