Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in: BSC2085, BSC2085L, BSC2086, BSC2086L, MCB2004, MCB2004L, CHM1032, ENC1101 and acceptance into the dental hygiene program. Corequisite: DEH1002L. An introduction to instrumentation techniques and clinical procedures. Topics include principles of instrumentation, prevention of disease transmission in the dental setting, and patient evaluation skills such as vital signs, health history, dental charting, oral inspections, and treatment planning.
