Prerequisite: A grade of C or better in DEA0020, DEA0020L, DES1020, and DES1020L. Corequisite: DEA0800L. The course is designed to acquaint the dental assisting student with the necessary background materials and assisting procedures involved in each dental specialty. Topics include, but are not limited to, instrument identification for specialty practices, professional demeanor, human relations in the dental office, and oral pathology. Contact: 30 clock hours per semester. Additional fee.
