Prerequisite: Acceptance into the dental assisting program. Corequisite: DEA0020. The course provides for the clinical application of materials in DEA0020, with hands-on instruction in the use and sterilization of all instruments and basic fundamentals of chairside assisting. Subject areas are arranged in a clinical competency program, which is a method of study that helps the student master each skill before advancing to the next level. Contact: 240 clock hours per semester.
