The course is designed to assist students to integrate observations, inferences, and relationships among patient data when performing health assessments. Students will learn to apply various communication techniques to gather information regarding a client; they will also utilize inspection, palpation, percussion, and auscultation to examine a client's body from head-to-toe. Through lectures, discussions, videos, and laboratory practice, students will be prepared to take complete health histories, perform physical examinations, and record data from same.
