A supervised teaching experience in an elementary or secondary school classroom. Requires 360 classroom hours for a total of six credits (60 hours per credit) and an interactive online component. Students will be required to complete a standardized teaching exam. Six hours of student teaching are required at the appropriate grade level for each certification. Note: Students desiring secondary certification will need to complete student teaching in a secondary classroom, but will also need to take a secondary methods course by directed study (includes an additional fee) to complete ACSI secondary certification.
