This course is designed for students who need a review of basic arithmetic and algebraic properties before beginning the material in MAT 109. Topics include an introduction to the fundamentals of algebra, including operations with signed numbers, order of operations and fractions. After this review, the material in MAT 109 is presented. Students must have written permission of the chair of the mathematics department to enroll in MAT 108. A student may not take both MAT 108 and MAT 109 for credit. Meets three times a week. Offered fall. 3 credits.
