A consideration of the structure and dynamics of state and local governments in the United States. Particular attention is given to Texas state government, but it is compared with the political cultures and styles of the other 49 states. This course fulfills the second three hours of the Legislative Requirement. Although it is open to anyone, POLS 1305 is a very helpful introduction. (Fall, Spring)
