    This hands on workshop is designed for individuals employed in the electrical trade who are interested in upgrading their skills in proper conduit bending techniques, In addition, those new in the trade wili learn bending terminology, correct bending procedures, and code applications. The different types of conduit and conduit bending equipment will be explained and demonstrated. The workshop will include practice bending conduit using various conduit sizes and conduit bending equipment. Prerequisite: None.     This hands-on course covers gas and electric arc welding, joint preparation and proper welding positions, welding machines and electrode selection. The application of Oxygen-acetylene Welding (OAW); Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAQ); Gas Tungsten Welding (GTAW); Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) and stud preparation are presented. Welding chemistry, metallurgy, inspection processes and heat treating processes are discussed. This course is conducted in a welding lab. Note: Welding students will need to provide their own protective gear (welding hood, goggles and clothing.)     This course provides an introduction to the natural gas industry from production to transmission to distribution. The course gives the student an opportunity to examine the properties and physical laws of natural gas including basic gas measurements and pressure regulation. Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) regulations, leak maintenance, gas regulators and meters are covered. Students will perform skill-based performance activities that cover the inspection, operation and maintenance of gas-fired appliances. The process of gas combustion is also covered in depth.
