Three units on Discovery and Early Colonization (1492-1607); the Growth of American Colonies (1607-88); and the Era of Colonial Wars (1689 to 1763). Includes in-depth coverage of the role of women and minorities. Lecture, readings, and discussion. Offered every 2 years in the fall semester.
