This course is designed for students in need of strengthening fundamental reading abilities. Instruction focuses on vocabulary development and improvement of reading comprehension¿moving from complicated sentences, to sophisticated paragraphs and passages of significant length. Credits apply only to the College's academic foundations requirement. (Usually offered Fall and Spring semesters.) Prerequisite: Appropriate for students who score 64 or below on the College¿s Placement Test, COMPASS.
