3 credits A study of the history of art beginning with Late Gothic and concluding with twentieth-century art. The painting, sculpture, and architecture of the major Western periods and movements, such as Renaissance, Baroque, Romanticism, Impressionism, Abstraction, and Expressionism, are viewed and discussed. Emphasis is on art as a reflection of the culture and society that produced it. Students enrolling in this course need not have taken ART 101. Spring
