Welcome to Waynesburg University. Waynesburg University is a private, comprehensive Christian university offering doctoral, graduate and undergraduate programs in more than 70 academic concentrations. Founded in 1849 by the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Waynesburg University is located on a contemporary campus in the hills of southwestern Pennsylvania, with three adult centers located in the Pittsburgh region. The University is a member of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU) and the university offers local, regional and international opportunities to touch the lives of others through service.     Students desiring to transfer should submit a formal application for admissions, the Transfer Student Clearance Form, and submit official high school and college transcripts. The University Registrar will evaluate all college transcript(s)and credits.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Courses graded C or above from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Two-year institutions - maximum of 63 credits; four-year institutions - unlimited. Transcripts are evaluated on a course-by-course basis. Students are required to complete at least 45 semester hours in residence to earn a bachelor's degree.
