Students learn the essentials of image enhancement by developing the understanding and skills needed to edit raster/bitmapped graphics. Students explore the basic concepts of color correction, photo retouching, compositing (photo montages), photographic manipulation, digital darkroom techniques and the preparation of images for use on the World Wide Web. Image resolution, color models and printing issues are also covered. Prerequisites: CITU 101, 102 or equivalent.
