The Sport Analysis course is designed to prepare students on the basics of analyzing sports movement or technique utilizing digital video analysis and Dartfish Sports Video Software and hardware. Students will be able to demonstrate an introductory understanding of the software and hardware processes used to shoot, capture, analyze and distribute digital video using Dartfish video software. The vocabulary/language associated with the use of digital video and the sports industry will give students a broad knowledge of terms associated with this computer application. Restricted to Physical Education Studies and Sport Management majors.

Activity course designed to practice and learn the dances of countries concentrating on a variety of folk, square, and line dances with some application to the principles of movement of Rudolf Laban. Topics covered include historical, geographical, and cultural influences upon folk and square dance, terminology, mechanics of various individual and group steps, rhythm patterns, movement concepts, and teaching strategies. Consists of tumbling skills/dance movements. Individual skills will be taught in progression of difficulty so that students are able to combine them into performance routines in the men's and women's floor events. Also covered will be demonstration routines. (Usually offered Fall semeser.)

Basic knowledge and skills of competitive target archery, including form, safety, score keeping, terminology, care and selection of equipment. An introduction to Field Archery will be included in this course. (Usually offered Fall semester only.)

Designed for a beginning bowler or one with limited knowledge and skills. The course stresses the mechanical principles involved in the approach and the techniques of spot bowling for strikes and spares. Topics covered include equipment, related terminology, etiquette and safety factors, scoring, four-step approach,delivery, aiming, and making spares and splits. Students taking this course should have an average of below 130. There is a $37 lab fee for this course. (Usually offered Fall and Spring semesters.)

This is an activity course designed to encourage participants to develop greater self confidence and at the same time acquire a sense of trust and commitment to their classmates. Students are given the opportunity to test themselves against physical and emotional limits through exploration of a series of group and personal challenges to attain higher levels of performance. Experiences include initiatives, trust activities, team building experiences, and cooperative games. (Usually offered Fall and Spring semesters.) May be reserved for Physical Education majors.

Designed for a student who would like to learn or improve golf skills. It focuses on the mechanical principles of the swing: stance, grip, alignment, rhythm, and the use of various clubs.
