    6 credits This course is designed to provide students with the opportunity to apply skills learned in the classroom within their discipline to a corporate experience. The goal is to better prepare students to be professionals in their chosen career by gaining "Real Life"experience while immersing them fully into a corporate setting. Students are required to complete 320 hours at the Corporate Internship setting. The Internship can be an integral part of each of the majors and its primary goals are the following: 1. Enable the student to lean about a new industry or company and apply the knowledge gained from the major. 2. Help the company solve particular business problem and get to know a prospective full- time candidate, assessing his/ her profile and fit in the company. 3. Approval by Dean

    3 credits This course integrates research, writing, presentation and analytical skills with the student's previous information technology courses. Students will undertake an extensive research project that focuses on emerging trends in the global workplace. Students will present their findings in an in-depth research paper and provide proposed and/or implemented organizational solutions. The research paper may include electronic designed forms, training checklist, a technical manual and/or other documentation required to implement the change. Students will be required to make 5 formal in class presentations at specific stages of the research process demonstrating continuous and appropriate progress throughout the semester. This course serves an alternative to CT390 - Internship Seminar for students who have at least 3 years experience in the field of IT. PREREQUISITE: Junior Standing and approval of the Dean of the School of Information Technology.

    3 credits This course is designed to develop students' knowledge and understanding of Electronic Commerce (e-commerce): how it is being conducted and managed; its major opportunities, limitations, and risks. This course is structured around the notion that electronic commerce applications require certain technological infrastructures and other support mechanisms. These applications namely: business-to-consumers, business-to-business, and intrabusiness will be discussed extensively along with the infrastructure and the support services of electronic commerce. With the way the Internet has transformed the business landscape, this course should be of interest to students aiming for managerial positions in any area of the business world. Internet exercises, applications, and real world cases will be used to achieve overall learning goals.

This course introduces the student to the disciplines of micro-economics and provides a basic under-standing of how microeconomics functions in today's society. This course centers around understanding the market for particular or individual outputs or inputs. It includes such topics as individual buyer and seller behavior, individual prices of goods and services, employment and individual businesses and industries. This course also focuses on the household, the firm, and the industry.

This begins with the preparation of a well-composed, coherent paragraph and moves on to the process of writing focused essays of at least five paragraphs in a variety of rhetorical modes. Standard written English, including appropriate grammar and syntax, is covered in detail. In addition, reading comprehension and vocabulary building will be emphasized.

    Noncredit This course is designed for students who have English as a second language to increase their fluency in written and spoken English and to bring them to college-level competency. It will focus on the process of writing grammatically correct essays in a variety of rhetorical modes. Language skills that emphasize grammar, reading, speaking/listening, and conversation will also be emphasized. Attention will be given to vocabulary building and the use of idioms.
