In addition, organization rewards systems, health and safety, and labor relations will be covered as they affect employees in organizations. The purpose of this course is to introduce the student to the field, and help the student understand the importance of human-resource management in reaching organizational goals. This course covers the law of sales of goods, commercial paper, bank transactions, and secured transactions under the Uniform Commercial Code (which now includes the CCISG for international sale of goods). As time permits, other topics are also covered, such as corporations: formation, capitalization, and control; partnerships; and insurance. Offered every spring. Prerequisite: BUS 380

In addition, students learn basic concepts of contract law, property law, tort law, and administrative law, and are introduced to issues being raised by globalization and e-commerce.
