Current issues and future trends in the field are considered. Students engage in field experiences in local community services and programs forpersons with developmental disabilities.

Includes long-term planning, access to community experiences and resources, career development, life skills, self-advocacy and selfdetermination, guardianship and legal considerations. Field-based experiences are integral to the course.
