ED 375: Integrated Secondary Teaching Methods Part I

As a component of the teacher education program, this course intends to introduce to the future secondary teachers the fundamental concepts of curriculum design and instructional planning. It focuses on a constructivist approach to instructional planning and practices. Topics related to decision making, classroom management, and instructional planning are treated in depth to help prospective teachers master the basic competencies at the level of planning to fulfill the requirement for state and national certification. The experiential component of the course provides the students with opportunities for handson experiences for deepening understanding and strengthening competencies. Limited to Education majors.
