Prerequisite: Admission to the Integrated Nursing program; successful completion of a Medicaid Nurse Aide equivalent course or proof of active status on the Medicaid Nurse Aide Registry. Completion, with a grade of C or better, of BIO 135 and PY 110 and COM 181 and ENG 101 and (CIS 100 or equivalent). Students must have Basic Life Support certification, current liability insurance coverage and current immunizations for the duration of the course. Corequisite: NIP1153 and NIP 1154. Examines client's needs, health promotion, therapeutic communication, concepts of mental health and assessment of clients across the life span with psychosocial problems. Introduces skills related to mental health care, such as areas of adaptive/maladaptive behaviors and specific mental health disorders in a variety of healthcare settings. Prerequisite: Admission to the Integrated Nursing program; successful completion of a Medicaid Nurse Aide equivalent course or proof of active status on the Medicaid Nurse Aide Registry. Completion, with a grade of C or better, of BIO 135 and PY 110 and COM 181 and ENG 101 and (CIS 100 or equivalent). Students must have Basic Life Support certification, current liability insurance coverage and current immunizations for the duration of the course. Corequisite: NIP 1154. Introduces skills related to mental health care, such as areas of adaptive/maladaptive behaviors and specific mental health disorders in a variety of healthcare settings. Prerequisite: Admission to the Integrated Nursing program; successful completion of a Medicaid Nurse Aide equivalent course or proof of active status on the Medicaid Nurse Aide Registry. Focuses on management of care for clients with perinatal complications, high-risk newborns and the ill child. Integrates concepts of health promotion, disease prevention, pharmacological and therapeutic interventions throughout the course. Prerequisite: Completion with a grade of C or better in NIP 110 and NIP 115 and FHM 100 and AHS 100. Students must have Basic Life Support certification, current liability insurance coverage and current immunizations for the duration of the course. Prerequisite or corequisite:NIP125 and NIP130. Lecture: 2 credits (30 contact hours). Laboratory/Clinical: 1 credit (45 contact hours).

Prerequisite: Completion, with a grade of C or better, of NIP 110 and NIP 115. Students must have Basic Life Support certification, current liability insurance coverage and current immunizations for the duration of the course. Prerequisite or corequisite: NIP 120 and NIP 130. Lecture: 3 credits (45 contact hours); Laboratory/Clinical: 3 credits (135 contact hours).
