Prerequisite: None Performance-oriented class introducing theories and techniques of acting. Emphasis is on the actor's resources for character development along with fundamental principles of voice and body techniques. Student experiences include the preparation and performance of scenes. Performances in class include solo, duet, and ensemble work. Students will be expected to attend assigned outside of class plays. Three hours lecture/discussion a week. IAI: TA 914

Prerequisite: None A course that surveys all theatrical forms such as comedy and tragedy, and dramatic styles such as realism and naturalism. Students will learn how to analyze a play and how to identify the respective contributions of the playwright, director, designers, and actors. Students will be asked to apply the knowledge gained in the course to plays which will be assigned and attended outside of class during the semester. Three hours lecture/discussion a week. Prerequisite: None This course is designed to review arithmetic through the use of a calculator and to introduce the students to topics of algebra and geometry that are relevant to the areas of agriculture, automotive, and horticulture. Among the topics covered will be calculators, arithmetic, variables, equations, systems of equations, angles, circles, area, volume, charts and graphs, interpretation of data, and application problems. Three hours lecture/discussion a week.
