Credits 4 (2 Lecture - 4 Lab Hrs/Wk) - F This course builds on ART 264 (Portrait) and PHO270 (Small Product) by introducing more advanced lighting and setup techniques. Students will primarily use digital cameras for image capture and all output, whether film-based, will be digitized. Other areas of commercial photography will be addressed including architectural, food, fashion and stock photography. Prerequisite: ART 264 and PHO270.

Credits 3 (2 Lecture - 2 Lab Hrs/Wk) - F This course addresses issues of inkjet print density, contrast and tonal range and local refinements such as burning/dodging and spotting as they are enacted in the digital domain. All facets of digital printing are covered starting with the essentials of good scanning. Photoshop techniques for image refinement, software and options for output involving paper and ink combinations. In addition, essentials of color management including calibration, setting up ICC profiles, and using the computers color sync utilities are discussed. Prerequisite: Secondyear standing in the Professional Photography Program.
