PPT 29003: Power Plant Cooperative Ed Experience

Eight-week assignment at a local power plant designed to make the student aware of what work life will be like as an operator, weekly activity reports are submitted to the employer and co-op instructor. The student will be paid by the plant owner and graded on the co-op by a URG faculty member. Prerequisites: PPT 10003, PPT 11303, MFG 27102, HPE 24302, and passage of the POSS (Plant Operator Selection System) exam. Drug test/Background check and physical with lung capacity may be required.
