Activities will include field identification of animals and plants, a series of lectures by the course instructor and local experts, trips to local natural areas, and class discussions at the workshop site. Topics may include, but are not limited to, basic ecological and evolutionary principles, environmental ethics, local geology and ecology, natural resource management, habitat restoration and conservation, land use, and human impacts on the environment.
