This course covers the basic principles of computer systems. Topics include care and safety of computers, file management, Windows operating system, and WordPerfect software.

This course, designed for the non-trade or technical majoring student, covers the use of mathematics with business applications. These topics are included: whole number arithmetic, operations relating to fractions and decimals, application of ratio, percent and proportions, and the interpretation of tables and graphs. The use of algebra in equations and formulas is studied along with simple and compound interest, discounts, mark-ups, present value, annuities, commissions, and depreciation.

This course, designed for the trade or technical majoring student, provides application of algebra to the technical courses. The emphasis is on the algebra necessary to solve literal equations and formulas, exponents, powers, roots, radical expressions, verbal problems, expressions involving trig functions, algebraic fractions, and scientific notation.

3.00 Credits
This course is designed for students who have taken a beginning algebra course but who need more mastery before taking college algebra. The following topics are included: fractions, decimals, percents, proportions, powers, roots, signed numbers, scientific notation, equation solving, formulas, verbal problems, the geometry of lines, angels, perimeters, areas, volumes, linear equations and systems, factoring, the quadratic formula, right triangle trigonometry, logarithms, and sequences and series.

In this course the student is introduced to the study of statistics and the use of statistics to predict and control manufacturing processes. Basic statistical tools are introduced and used. Simulated processes are analyzed and the process control tools are implemented. This course focuses on the technician level and does not use highly sophisticated mathematical concepts.

This is a developmental math course which provides a review of basic arithmetic skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing of whole numbers, fractions and decimals; ratios, proportions, percents, measurements and pre-agebra.

It includes the application of common numbers, decimals, fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions, area, volume, metric and English measurements and basic trigonometry. Additional topics covered as course schedule permits.
