This course must be taken by all undergraduate students working toward special education certification. The course requires observing and teaching in a public school special education classroom all day, Monday through Friday, for six weeks. This work is done under the direction of a fully certified teacher of the class to which the student is assigned and under the supervision of a college professor who observes and evaluates the student's process. Seminars and individual conferences are a required part of the course. Lec 3, Cr 3

Prerequisite: 18 hours of upper level special education courses. Approval by the Teacher Education Committee. Students must also be enrolled in EDCI 4311, EDSC 4398 or EDSC 4641.
