Class topics include how to create a database, enter information into it, organize the data, then view and print the information stored within the database.

Class topics include creating, editing, and formatting documents, using templates, inserting graphics, and WordArt as well as working with tables and columns. Students will learn how to automate repetitive tasks by using mail merge, Auto Text, and macros.

Provides the knowledge and skills required to communicate effectively with PowerPoint. Topics include creating and modifying slides, creating different types of presentation output and identifying the most effective ways to use a presentation to communicate. Prerequisite: Windows computer skills.

This course introduces you to the features of Internet Explorer, Microsoft's Internet Browser program. You will learn how to effectively surf the World Wide Web and learn how to download and save information from the Internet. Students will work with electronic mail using Outlook Express.

Introduction to Windows operating system. Features and commands that are used in Windows based applications are taught. The student will study the basics of the Windows desktop. Concepts of the graphical user interface functions and file management will be covered.

Topics include creating, formatting, and printing worksheets; moving and copying data; navigating a worksheet and selecting cell ranges; editing cell entries; creating a chart; and using templates to produce frequently used worksheet formats. Prerequisite: Windows experience and keyboarding skills.

A comprehensive study of Microsoft Access, a powerful database management program. The student will learn how to work with a collection of information related to a particular subject or purpose, to create a database, and then learn how to sort, organize and report the information it contains. Covers how to manipulate the data with ease and be able to run reports by extracting the information for specific tasks. Prerequisite: keyboarding skills, Windows skills

This course will introduce the basic word processing functions and capabilities of Word for Windows. The skills and knowledge covered in this course are sufficient to create, format, edit and save documents that include tabs, columns and graphics. Prerequisite: students need to demonstrate a general understanding of personal computers.

This course will introduce the advanced features of Microsoft Word. Students will work with large documents, use forms, collaborate with others on documents, merge data to create envelopes and labels, link data from other programs to Word, create a table of contents, create and work with Macros and work with the web elements available in Word. Prerequisite: Microsoft Word.

This course is designed for people who are new to the Internet. The lessons give you information about the Internet and introduce the features of the most popular Internet browsers. Students will learn how to surf the World Wide Web, how to download and save information from the Internet, how to work with electronic mail, and Usenet Newsgroups. Students will work with Search Engines and learn how to define searches to successfully find the information desired. Prerequisite: Windows experience and keyboarding skills
