Emphasis is placed on teaching student explicit, systematic approaches to skills based on state standards. Key reading (phonemic awareness, fluency, comprehension and vocabulary) and writing elements are addressed. Students will develop a variety of assessment, instructional, and remediation skills to be used in the classroom.
