Topics covered will be DC and AC concepts, Ohm's law, series and parallel circuits, resistors, inductors and capacitors. Unique Course This course is a study of occupational safety and health as it relates to technologists and managers. Topics will include accident prevention, hazard recognition, OSHA and OSH Act rules, NIOSH, record keeping, workplace liability, workers compensation, and analysis and prevention of workplace accidents. Emphasis will be placed on safety inspection, record keeping, identification of hazards, rules and laws, OSHA and NIOSH, and education and prevention of accidents. 3 semester hours

Unique Course This course studies technology and its relationship to ethics, history, energy, ecology, population, medical and third world countries. The role technology plays in each of the above areas will be covered along with the benefits to civilization as well as the harm to civilization that has resulted from certain technologies and their use/misuses. Research and writing assignments will be given that relate to the above topics and technical discipline. These assignments will include research, drafting, rewriting, peer review and completing a finished document per standards in the technical field.
