Topics covered will include, but will not be limited to such issues as foreign aid, international trade, multinational corporations, international debt, regional economic arrangements, international institutions, the global environment, North-South and East-West relationships, etc. Particular attention will be paid to US interests and options in the world. This course helps students maintain a balance between their personal and academic lives while teaching them such skills as learning strategies, time management, class-notes taking, test-taking techniques, decision-making skills, self-assessment exploration, and goal-setting. Use of campus resources that will assist students in reaching their educational goals are also introduced.
