CA 365: Adv. Television Production

Students study and apply the techniques of studio and field production and post-production editing in this course. In this desktop publishing course, students are taught the intricacies of design, layout, image manipulation, scanning, and file preparation. Techniques include placing and editing text and graphics; scanning and manipulating images and color separation; as well as plate preparation. Students are required to produce a variety of publications and then work with a printing vendor to produce the piece. Requirements of the course also include visiting a commercial print facility to plan and execute the job. Final projects are presented in class. Prerequisite: CA 270 or permission of the instructor.
