Description:
In this desktop publishing course, students are taught the intricacies of design, layout, image manipulation, scanning, and file preparation. Techniques include placing and editing text and graphics; scanning and manipulating images and color separation; as well as plate preparation. Students are required to produce a variety of publications and then work with a printing vendor to produce the piece. Requirements of the course also include visiting a commercial print facility to plan and execute the job. Final projects are presented in class. Prerequisite: CA 270 or permission of the instructor.
