This course focuses on the study of typical physical, motor, social-emotional, and aesthetic development of young children ages preconception through eight. Assessment, risk factors, environmental design and guiding behavior are covered. Students will use this knowledge to reflect on and make decisions about practices that serve the needs of young children and their families.
