This course covers the key role that emotional intelligence plays workplace trust to create safe places for conducting crucial conversations. Students are taught the tools to handle resistance and defensiveness for engaging in challenging topics/dialogue. This course is structure to allow students to thoughtfully practice the techniques taught in-class through evenly-paced learning sessions facilitated by a highly qualified instructor in a personalized setting. This course may be offered though in-class instruction or via remote learning instruction, using Zoom technology, and includes breaks and interactive practice sessions.

This certification exam is an assessment that is associated with the CCNA Routing and Switching certification and tests a candidate's knowledge and skills related to network fundamentals, Local Area Network (LAN) switching technologies, IPv4 and IPv6 routing technologies, WAN technologies, infrastructure services, infrastructure security, and infrastructure management.

    Provides the student with the opportunity to prepare for the CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) Certification exam. CASP is a vendor-neutral credential and internationally recognized as validating an advanced-level security skills and knowledge. The CASP exam certifies the individual has the technical knowledge and skills required to conceptualize, engineer, integrate and implement secure solutions across complex environments. Preparation topics include the application of critical thinking and judgement across a broad spectrum of security disciplines to propose and implement sustainable security solutions that map to organizational strategies, translate business needs into security requirements, analyze risk impacts and respond to security incidents. While there is no required prerequisite, the CASP certification is intended to follow CompTIA Security+ or equivalent experience and has a technical, "hands-on" focus at the enterprise level.

    This class will immerse the student into an interactive environment where they will be shown how to scan , test, hack and secure their own systems. Topic content gives each student in-depth knowledge and practical experience with the current essential security systems. Students will begin by understanding how perimeter defenses work and then be led into scanning and attacking their own networks, no real network is harmed. Students then learn how intruders escalate privileges and what steps can be taken to secure a system. Students will also learn about Intrusion Detection, Policy Creation, Social Engineering, DDoS Attacks, Buffer Overflows and Virus Creation. When a student leaves this intensive class, they will have hands on understanding of the current elements involved in ethical hacking.

This course is intended for IT Professionals who are interested in specializing in Windows 10 desktop and application deployments and managing the cloud-based application and data service environments for medium-to-large enterprise organizations.

    CompTIA Network+ is a vendor neutral networking certification for IT professionals. The course prepares students for introduction to cyber security coursework by exposing them to the fundamental architectures and designs for modern networks. Topics covered will include networking fundamentals, network implementations, network operations, network security and network troubleshooting. Students will use operating systems and networking tools to complete lab exercises. Lecture will include online videos and exam preparation tools for the CompTIA Network + certification exam. As a resource, students will have access to CompTIA CertMaster CE Network+, an online study platform. CompTIA Network+ is accredited by ANSI to show compliance with the ISO 17024 Standard and, as such, undergoes regular reviews and updates to the exam objectives. Students should possess the pre-requisite knowledge of a basic understanding of how a computer works, computer hardware and terminology. The CompTIA?half A+ certification is not required but it is recommended for CompTIA?half Network+ candidates to have the CompTIA?half A+ certification or equivalent knowledge.

The course will cover different models of critical thinking and explore the factors that influence decision making. Students will be able to define critical thinking and problem-solving and understand their importance in various contexts, apply different models of critical thinking to analyze and evaluate information effectively, an apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to real-life situation both personal and professionally.

    Designed to help individuals develop their listening skills and become more effective listeners. Through a combination of practical and interactive instruction, students will learn how to actively listen, interpret and respond to verbal and nonverbal messages. Specific topics covered within this course include the importance of listening, barriers to effective listening and various types of listening. This course will provide students with the opportunity to practice their listening skills through various role-playing, reflective exercises and group discussions. Students will have the opportunity to reflect on their own communication style and will have a greater understanding of the importance of active listening in both personal and professional settings and at the same time, will have developed the skills necessary to be effective listeners.
