The student will complete 96 hours of experience at the internship facility. Student must receive instructor recommendation to proceed to internship. Candidates for internship must have proven themselves to be reliable in attendance, professional in behavior, participate in class, and safe in performing Health Unit Coordinator tasks. Students will be required to submit a Background Study conducted by the Department of Human Services. An individual who is disqualified as a result of the background study will not be permitted to participate in a clinical internship. Students will be required to submit to the instructor a current immunization record. Students will agree to and sign a Student Intern Agreement and Pledge of Confidentiality forms.
