This introductory course includes instruction in water pollution control, preliminary and primary treatment, fixed film processes, and suspended growth systems. This course meets the requirements of EPA and the Association of Boards of Certification and Office of Water Programs. The course is designed to enhance the home-study manual, "Operation of Wastewater Treatment Plants," to (1) develop qualified treatment plant operators; (2) expand the abilities of existing operators; (3) help prepare operators for Certification Examination.
