Analyzing and identifying requirements to create an environment to sustain development of a qualified idea is investigated. Methodology for integrating quantified, qualified information into a business plan is explored. Entrepreneurial endeavors are framed from two perspectives: stand-alone, outside ventures, and conceived, built within an existing organization.

    BA 670 International Business Experiences C This course will focus on global organizational strategy. The students will participate in a travel experience. Viewing first-hand the environmental factors that influence business decision making will provide students a context for the development of global strategies. Site visits to organizations will permit students to learn about and discuss items related to organization strategy.

    This class will study the main issues of mergers and acquisitions (M&A). The course takes a general management perspective. The course discusses historical and theoretical developments, focusing on recent events and taking a strategic view of business combinations. Students will explore the managerial aspects encountered during an acquisition process and develop the skills to successfully integrate the process.

    This course examines the regulation of conduct of the corporate finance function of investment banks by looking at the structure of investment banking firms and their relationship with banks and financial holding companies. It examines the role and regulation of investment bankers in private, public and international offerings, and mergers, acquisitions and other restructurings including the impact of securities laws on the corporate finance function of investment banks and finance principles used by investment bankers in the corporate finance process. The role and regulation lf investment bankers in the Euromarkets, Japan, emerging markets and China's Security Markets will be considered.

    This capstone course will focus on the strategic management process and current practices of managers of multinational corporations. Various dimensions of decision-making will be considered with a focus on production, marketing, and financial issues. Students will gain an understanding of strategies suitable for conducting business in developing and developed economies by integrating their two international experiences and earlier coursework within the framework of theories and issues in strategic management.     This course is an introduction to the city of Barcelona and the architecture, urban planning and icons, which together form the international and local image of Barcelona. By analyzing the architecture and urban environment Barcelona we can gain a better understanding of the complex stories, ideologies, and myths that constitute the city's character and the metropolis that has emerged over two thousand years. This course will use a mixture of on-site visits; slide presentations, lectures, and readings to critique the city of Barcelona and its relationship to issues of nationalism, tourism, memory, and history. By studying the city of Barcelona students will have a greater understanding of the complex character of Barcelona and its history.     This course will provide students a sound understanding of the fundamentals of drawing and a first impression of the mysterious world of painting - learning how one can manipulate color in order to build, harmonize and express with paint as a medium. Site visits to galleries and local artists studios will provide students will a survey of art in Barcelona and serve to inspire students to explore their own creativity expressed through drawing and painting. The course will be mainly practical (studio work) with the additional help of short lectures and stimulating examples, including slides and visits to local galleries and museums.
