    NURS 215 introduces the student to concepts and principles related to basic pharmacology, with a specifi c focus on safe, effective drug therapy Comprehensive application of the nursing process to pharmacologic intervention is integrated throughout the course Content emphasizes drug therapy as a means of enhancing the client's own homeostatic mechanisms The importance of utilizing current, credible sources of drug information is stressed NOTE: Students not enrolled in the nursing program may take this course, provided they have permission of the faculty teaching the course Fall
