    Prerequisite: MFT 1010 In this problem-based course, the role of production planning and controlling, the basic production systems of organizations, and advanced concepts in resource management are emphasized and discussed. Learning the modules and associated projects give students the opportunity to develop basic plans and controls necessary to make decisions and to solve problems in complex production organizations. They study such topics as time studies and profit and loss. Course fee: $75.00

    Prerequisite: RDG 0800, MTH 0900; plus MLT 1010L must be taken in the same semester; and must be enrolled in the Medical Laboratory Technology program Students learn about the structure, staffing, employment trends, and job opportunities in medical laboratories. In addition, medical ethics, conduct, and quality control in medical laboratories are discussed. Basic anatomy and physiology of the urinary system and body fluids is also studied. A passing grade of "C" is required in this course.Offered days or evenings in the fall semester.

Included are units on laboratory equipment, laboratory safety, metric system, blood collection, urinalysis, body fluids, and microscopy. A passing grade of "C" is requiredin this course.     Prerequisite: RDG 0800, MTH 0900; plus MLT 1020L must be taken in the same semester; and must be enrolled in the Medical Laboratory Technology program Students learn laboratory skills needed in the medical laboratory. In addition to analytical skills, there are units on procedures for equipment protection, lab safety, laboratory mathematics and measurements. A passing grade of "C" isrequired in this course. Offered days or evenings in the fall semester.

    Prerequisite: MLT 1020 must be taken in the same semester; and must be enrolled in the Medical Laboratory Technology program Students learn and practice various skills needed in the medical laboratory, including pipeting, reagent preparation, operation of centrifuges, balances, autoclave, spectrophotometers, and microscopes. Also included are techniques in the isolation of micro-organisms and laboratory mathematics and measurements. A passing grade of "C" is required in this course.Offered days or evenings in the fall semester. Course fee: $75.00

    Prerequisite: RDG 0800, MTH 0900; and must be enrolled in the Medical Laboratory Technology program Students learn the basic principles of the human immune system in health and disease. The course covers factors involved in host response to foreign antigens, and detection of disease based on antigen antibody reactions using various immunologic methods. In addition, various techniques and applications of immunochemistry are studied. A passing grade of "C" isrequired in this course. Offered days or evenings in the spring semester.

    Prerequisite: MLT 1010/1010L; BIO 1020/1020L or BIO 1060/1060L; plus MLT 1040L must be taken in the same semester; and must be enrolled in the Medical Laboratory Technology program Students learn about the principles, procedures, and sources of error in hematology lab work. Also stressed is the theory of normal red blood cell production and maturation, along with the production of white blood cells and platelets. Normal cell function and blood disorders such as leukemia and anemias are discussed. Also included are methods used to detect normal and diseased blood states. A passing grade of "C" is requiredin this course. Offered days or evenings in the spring semester.
