The emphasis will be on sponsorships, promotions, publicity, public relations, and facility marketing. We will look at Sports Commissions/Convention Bureaus and how these organizations market their cities to attract events. We will also examine global marketing as it applies to major professional organizations such as the National Football League, National Basketball Association and Major League Baseball. Finally, the course will cover how the corporate world uses sport as a communication platform.
