    This course focuses on the math pertinent to the automotive field. Arithmetic, geometry, trigonometry, and basic algebra are the concepts that will be stressed. Topics covered will include, but not be limited to: combustion chamber volume correction, camshaft phasing, true compression ratio, crank journal indexing, piston to valve clearance, and valve spring coil bind. Each student will complete lab exercises pertaining to the aforementioned topics. Competency-based evaluation will be applied. Results will be collected, corrected, and stored via a computer equipped with Winflow software.
