Through a variety of media, students will expand their knowledge and understanding of ethical leadership. Not only will students evaluate ethics from a right-wrong perspective, students will also be challenged by the rightright ethical perspective as it relates to leadership behavior. 5 weeks.

The leaders of today and tomorrow must understand the pervasive influence that technology has on the results of their efforts with others. Students will explore the many ways that technology can impact the ultimate performance of a leader and will create a strategy to use technology to its fullest advantage in a leadership role. 5 weeks.

Often, leaders emerge in situations driven by crisis, by power struggles, by knowledge ownership, and by omission. Someone needs to lead and no one wants to, so someone has to. Students will analyze the various factors that create the opportunity for the sitautional leader to emerge. The influence of variable such as gender, race, education, and experience on the effectiveness of a leader will be examined. 5 weeks.

In this seminar, students will identify and discuss their own leadership profile. Materials from the previous four courses (LDST 4020, LDST 4030, LDST 4040, LDST 4050) will be used to guide reflections on styles, ethics, technology, and situational influences on the efforts and results of a leader. 5 weeks.

In this course students will be introduced to several topics including arithmetic, order of operation with signed numbers, algebra terminology, algebraic translations, linear equations and inequality, and the use of the TI-83 calculator. 8 weeks.

An exploration of major contributions of mathematics to humanity. Beginning with a brief history of mathematics and mathematical systems, the study will include units on symbolic logic, mathematical functions and graphs, problem solving using basic algebraic equations, and descriptive statistics. 10 weeks.

Set theory, basic operations of arithmetic and their algorithms, properties of counting numbers, fractions, metric system of measurements, and informal geometry. Required for all BSE majors. 5 weeks.

This cousre provides a historical overview of conflict management and resolution through the ages, with emphasis on contemporary processes, psycho-dynamics of conflict, cross-cultural aspects, and win-win principles. The course provides an understanding of the evolution of conflict management and applications of its various forms. 5 weeks.
