Additional emphasis is placed on the study of quality management theory and globalization concepts as related to operating in a highly competitive, constantly changing business environment. Emphasis will be placed on gaining an understanding of business skills needed to effective ly resolve workplace conflict. Students will have an opportunity to apply various conflict management strategies and techniques by participating in roleplaying exercises. Case analysis studies will be used to help provide students with the opportunity to learn how to defuse, manage, and pre vent conflict within a business organization. Offered: 2008 - 2010.

Primary focus will be on the use of mediation principles and strategies as required to resolve a variety of workplace disputes between employees and employers.
