This course uses QuickBooks Pro to train the student to use the computer to keep track of bookkeeping and financial transactions in order to make sound business decisions. It includes setting up the chart of accounts, dealing with customers and receivables, vendors and payables, banking functions, and creating reports.

This course provides a basic hands-on introduction to computers as well as computer concepts and literacy. Students learn fundamental skills of computer hardware, software, application skills, the Internet, and networking. This course is designed for students who have no prior experience with computer concepts. This course may be taken four times when new products, new software versions or features are taught.

Using OUTLOOK 2010, compose and send e-mail messages; format message content by using character and paragraph formatting; use graphic elements such as charts and tables; and create contact records, tasks, and appointments from incoming messages. Create contact groups, schedule meetings, and share schedules to facilitate communication with other Outlook users. This course covers the skills needed to prepare for the OUTLOOK 2010 Core Microsoft Office Specialist Exam (MOS). This course may be taken four times when new products, new software versions or features are taught. Advisory: Proper keyboarding and basic computer skills are suggested.

Using Windows XP, introduction to the Microsoft Windows operating system. Hands-on experience managing folders and files, preparing disks, launching multiple applications with Windows Explorer and My Computer, customizing the Windows working environment, locating information on local disks and on the web.

Using Windows XP, this course will provide the fundamental skills to use Microsoft Windows at the intermediate level. Students will receive hands-on experience to find files and data; use Internet search services to find information by query and subject; work with graphics in documents; use OLE (object linking and embedding); work with hardware, printers, and fonts; explore network resources; and define and perform disk maintenance. ADVISORY: Computer Business Applications G150 or equivalent

This course, together with CBA G156, reviews the skills needed to prepare for the WORD 2010 Core Microsoft Office Specialist Exam (MOS). This course may be taken four times when new products, new software versions or features are taught. Advisory: Keyboarding experience would be helpful.
